What is a temporary phone number?

A temporary phone number is a real phone number you borrow for a short time to receive one SMS verification code, instead of giving out your own number. There is no SIM card to buy and nothing to install: you pick a number, enter it where the code is asked for, and read the code in a web inbox. A free number on this page is shared, so its inbox is public and anyone can see its messages. Use free numbers only for low-risk signups and testing, never for banking or accounts you must not lose.

How to receive an SMS code in 3 steps

1. Pick a number - choose any Active USA number above and open its inbox in a new tab.
2. Paste it where the code is asked for - enter the number in the signup or verification form of the site or app.
3. Read the code in the public inbox - the SMS appears in that number's inbox, usually within seconds. Copy the code and finish your signup.

Free public number or a private number?

A free public number costs nothing and needs no signup, but its inbox is shared: anyone who opens it can see every code it receives. Use free numbers only for low-risk testing, never for banking or accounts you must not lose.

A private number is for one person and one code only - nobody else sees your code. On our private numbers page you can buy a USA number for Facebook: PKR 5 (virtual) or PKR 25 (non-virtual), active for 15-20 minutes. If no code arrives, cancel for a wallet refund; once a code is received, no refund applies, and Facebook account acceptance is not guaranteed.

If your code never arrives

Some apps and sites block shared public numbers, so a code may never arrive even when the number is Active. Wait a few minutes, try another free number, and request the code again - do not request it many times on the same number. If the code must stay private, use a private number instead.

Temp Numbers FAQ

What is a temporary phone number?
A real phone number you borrow briefly to receive one SMS code, without a SIM card or signup. Free numbers here are shared, so their inboxes are public.

Are the free numbers really free?
Yes. The 5 USA numbers above are free, with no signup and no balance needed.

Can anyone else see my code on a free number?
Yes. Free inboxes are public, so every message on them is visible to everyone. Never use them for banking or sensitive accounts.

How long does a private number last?
One Facebook verification code, for 15-20 minutes. It is receive-only: Temp Numbers do not send SMS.

Do Temp Numbers work for every app?
No. Some apps reject shared or virtual numbers. If a free number is rejected, try another one, or use a private non-virtual number for a higher acceptance chance.
